Potters Bar Firefighters come to visit our Nursery.
The children were beyond excited and couldn't wait to explore the huge fire engine and use the hose to spray a powerful jet of water across the grass in our Nursery garden.
It was a great success and everyone had loads of fun.
What a great experience for our little people!
A Nurse comes to Tilbury!
The children explored a range of Nursing resources. They confidently engaged and interacted with Nurse Susan - offering to be her patient. They particularly enjoyed having their 'ouchies' bandaged although the highlight for many was observing how a large white rubber glove can be blown up!
A big thank you to Susan Fuller for coming into our Nursery and sharing what she does at work.

St John Ambulance comes to Tilbury.
Caroline from SJA came to our Nursery today.
She demonstrated several emergency scenarios with the help of some highly skilled acting from several of our children!
The children were shown what caroline has to do when someone faints or is found unresponsive. She demonstrated how to put a 'casualty' into the 'recovery position' and how to assemble a sling to support an injured arm.
The children's concentration and listening skills were amazing - Caroline was very impressed!
Thank you Caroline - we all enjoyed your visit.

Tilbury Nursery is visited by the Police!
Today PCSO's Graham and Cheryl came to Tilbury.
The children were a little subdued at first but Graham and Cheryl assured them that the Police are there to help children and people not to scare them.
We talked lots about what to do if you get lost and what noise the Police car makes.
The children tried on Cheryl's uniform and even talked to the control centre on her radio!
Graham let the children sit in his Police Car and turn on the siren.
An amazing experience - thank you so much to Cheryl and Graham.
