Welcome to Tilbury Nursery School!

Thank you for your interest in Tilbury Nursery.

Our Nursery serves Potters Bar and the surrounding communities and operates under the guidance of The Potters Bar United Reformed Church.

It was established in 1966 to provide high quality Early Years Education, which we continue to provide, in accordance with the Welfare and Learning Requirements of the EYFS [Early Years Foundation Stage].

The Manager and Deputy Manager lead the Nursery and report to The Nursery Management Committee which is comprised of parent representatives and members of The Church.

We accept children between 2  and 5 years, with 15 free or 30 hours funding.

We operate on a termly basis with dates coinciding as much as possible with the local state schools.

Our Opening  Hours are:
Morning sessions Monday to Friday :  9.00am until 12.00pm
We also offer a Lunch Club which runs Monday to Fridays : 12.00pm until 1.00pm
(Children to bring their own packed lunch).

Afternoon sessions  Monday to Friday : 1.00pm until 3.00pm.

Tilbury Nursery feeds all the local state primary schools as well as many private schools in the area.

Why should you choose Tilbury Nursery?

We firmly believe in the value of learning through play.
We love to explore and make a mess!
All children are encouraged to develop at their own pace, in a safe environment where they can experience spontaneity, joy, wonder, enthusiasm, curiosity, challenge, success and failure, persistence and friendship.
The warm and friendly staff at Tilbury Nursery will support each individual child to achieve success and progress, to feel empowered, take risks, have their own ideas and become good communicators.

They will nurture your child to help him/her grow into strong, independent, confident and caring young people
